Here's The Beef!
I'm not usually one to try new pizza varieties - I'm a pepperoni and mushroom gal - and am constantly amazed by the barrage of new flavors and forms flying around from Pizza Hut and Dominos. I mean, hasn't it been sliced, stuffed, and sauced about every way possible? But I digress.I'm not usually one to try new pizza varieties - I'm a pepperoni and mushroom gal - and am constantly amazed by the barrage of new flavors and forms flying around from Pizza Hut and Dominos. I mean, hasn't it been sliced, stuffed, and sauced about every way possible? But I digress. I love pizza and try to persuade my family each Saturday night that they've yet to OD on it ("Can't we have burgers instead, mom?") and usually win with the "Mom's tired, they deliver" argument. To attempt to find some neutral ground, I acquiesed to try a new pizza last weekend, the new Steak Fanatic from Dominos. Just to make sure we had some back up, I ordered a small pepperoni and some breadsticks as well - didn't want to end up eating Spaghettio's if the pizza was a flop. Thankfully, I was plesantly surprised - the pizza was hearty, and very cheesy. They promised steak and definitely delivered, not skimping on the topping. The price was a bit more than we're accustomed to paying, but it was a nice change of pace.
Medium Steak Fanatic pizza, $9.99 with coupon. Add more steak for $2 extra.

I enjoy making my own pizza. You can put any kind, any amout of toppings you want. You do not have to worry about your pizza being late or cold or wondering what the pizza driver did to your pizza.

You are the idiot. There are no eggs in pizza dough.

call your local pizza shop and ask if they use eggs in their dough majority will say yes, eggs can be added to the dough to provide better browning characteristics to the dough and to some extent also provide a richer flavor, if you were to just add the egg whites it would make the dough a little more crispy. So yes idiot eggs are used to make dough. It isn’t necessary but it is common

I've tried the steak Pizza before, and I didn't like it. I think it is amazing how quickly these blogs can digress to name calling and personal bashing.

The people that said eggs are not used in pizza dough probably work for Dominos or Pizza Hut...Meaning they have never actually made dough anyway. Thawing a disc (PH), or pulling a ball sent from a commisary (Dom) is not making dough. TT a real pizza man, preferably an Italian, and ask if he uses eggs....

I was in Italy in November and ate the best pizza at many different places. The crust was so light and crispy. Does anyone know how to make such a pizza crust? I would love to know.

Everything is better when made with love at home. I understand the convenience of delivered foods but my kids love what I cook. I would encourage people to cook more often at home, really it taste a whole lot better.

just so you know ma'am you so can get around the extra charge for the steak. just tell the person that the last time you got your pizza they skimped you on your steak. most places (i know this because i worked at pizza hut) will add more to your pizza of whatever topping if you just point it out the right way. remember that though your buying something you dont have to pay "their" price GET YOURS :)
