You guys need to have video downloads. What if I wanted to make a pot roast for dad tonight? Wouldn't it be great to download a show on that, put it on my ipod and bring it to the kitchen with me?

I made some suggestions on the survey: i.e., movies about food ie Babette's feast, Tampopo, etc.,
with commentary by your food celebs; Rachel Ray meets Monty Python meets Claire on Heroes. I enjoyed your restaurant reviews with Nina and Alan. I miss that. In any case, I wish you'd do something truly different to entertain and educate me about food.

The first thing I would do is post more photos of food...pictures of wonderful meals...I am still at your home page, which is quite basic. I hope your recipes are illustrated for the beginner cook. My daughter is a freshman in college in an apartment-style dorm with a mini kitchen...a beginner cook and a vegetarian. The dining service offers little for the vegetarian, consequently, she is left to fend for herself...so looking for wonderfully quick and simple vegetarian meals and snacks...

Thanks for taking time to write about what you’d like to see on the Food Channel. We are not the Food Network and do not have celebrity chefs. We do have a full culinary center with trained chefs who are getting ready to interact in a new way with our site users. Our new site is in final development and should be live by early December. Please start checking in at www.foodchannel.com in about 2-3 weeks, and then let me know what you think and what you’d like to see. We’ll have an “ask the chef,” new recipes, short videos rather than 30 minute shows, and more. And, we’ll make every attempt to answer your emails promptly!

1--Less show and more detail as the chefs cook.
2--Also someone to answer emails instead of remarks that your stars are to busy.
3--Better variety of show, There is little ethnic coverage. I would like to see chinese, mexican, etc. with less Rachel Ray and less Sandra Lee. You turn on in the morning, at noon at 6pm or at 10pm and there is Rachel Ray running her mouth.

How about a show featuring Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking. Basic, down home cooking form Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Thank you

There should be shows about cooking for dieting. For instance, these shows could show people how to make good diet foods. There are so many different types of diets. Have a South Beach Diet cooking show or a Glycemic Index cooking show that helps diabetics and everyone else reach for a healthier diet. This would particularly useful at this time of year when the big diet companies are advertising so heavily.

i'd love it if you had a live-chat place to ask questions when you need to know something immediately. nowhere can i find that service, so who better to provide it than the food channel.

thanks!
