To remove the seeds from a pomegranate, slice it in half from end to end, partially cut into segments and then break apart in a bowl of water. Pry the seeds away from the peel and membrane. The seeds fall to the bottom of the bowl, while the papery membrane floats to the surface, where it can easily be skimmed off and discarded.
Did you know that it’s the seeds of a pomegranate that are used? You’ll have to spit out the hard center, but the outside is full of flavor and nutrients, so it’s worth the work!
