Tracking down those nomadic fantastic food trucks just got a bit easier--at least for those of us who have iPhones.
A new app from Roaming Hunger enables iPhone users to navigate street food vendors all over North America, locating the nearest gourmet food trucks and carts with a simple touch of the screen. Perhaps best of all, the app is free.
More than 800 vendors across North America are featured in the app, with plenty of variety in every major city, according to the company. Hungry foodies can sort meals by breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night, and can browse local areas with an interactive Google-based map to find their next mobile meal.
The new app offers –
- A map showing truck locations in real time
- Detailed food truck profiles
- Food truck menus
- Food truck pictures (so you know what to look for)
The software is available to download for free in the App Store.
“Going mobile was the natural progression,” says Ross Resnick, founder of Roaming Hunger. “Our users are embarking on a daily food adventure to seek out the best gourmet street food vendors and this app is the ideal compass for that journey.”
