Have you heard of the dEAR (pun intended). It’s a food innovation that could keep your food hot through thermo-conductive wiring. What will they think of next? This is the dEAR. No, that’s not a typo, it’s part of the design of this tool that looks like an ear. Its purpose is to keep your food and drinks hot. Designed by James Liao, the concept is a high efficiency battery that plugs into the cup or plate and heats the ceramic layer through a series of thermo-conductive wiring. And, no, it doesn’t actually work. It seems that batteries cannot yet produce enough power to sustain the process. But who knows what the future holds.
