Is Watermelon a Natural Substitute for Viagra?

There’s general agreement that natural remedies are part of the greening of America . . . but are we ready to give up our Viagra? Reportedly scientists from Texas A&M’s Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center say that the watermelon has ingredients that deliver Viagra-like effects to the body’s blood vessels and may even increase libido.

Phyto-nutrients are just part of what scientists are keeping their eyes on these days – things like lycopene, beta carotene and citrulline. Watermelon’s healthy compounds may also help the immune system, the heart, and the prostate.
