We’ve spotted a new blog site that we at The Food Channel think is pretty tasty. It’s called Marvelous Girl and professes to be a women’s interest news source ‘seeking to empower the modern-day woman.’
‘Marvelous’ dishes on fashion, weddings, babies, celebrity news, recipes and more. The girls (and guy) behind Marvelous Girl definitely keep an eye out for bargains they can pass along to their readers. Some of the recent posts included news about discounted magazine subscriptions, a FREE breakfast and Kids Eat Lunch Free deal at IKEA and an offer for $10 gift certificates selling for $2 at Restaurant.com.
You might find tips on online dating, an interview with a supermodel or stories about nutrition for pregnant women. We found all of the above and more.
The blog’s founder, Savannah George, 26, (photo left) lives in Los Angeles, Calif. She’s currently a grad student at USC’s school of journalism. She started Marvelous Girl just last March and added two additional writers in December.
Heather Brewer, 33, (photo, right) lives in Mesa, Ariz., with her husband and four boys. Heather is the deals and discount writer who ferrets out the bargains. Matt Haspel, 38, hails originally from Melbourne, Australia. He now resides in Los Angeles and blogs about men’s interest topics.
In fact, Savannah reports that there’s a new spinoff that’s just been launched, Marvelous Man. We’re guessing that Marvelous Teen might be next. Marvelous Dog?
