Wishing You a Happy—and Healthy—Cinco de Mayo
Celebrate Mexican Heritage with a Tasty Fiesta
![]()
Cinco de mayo may come only once a year, but American’s enjoyment of Mexican food has become an all-year-long love affair. There are Mexican restaurants in virtually every town from border to border, coast to coast--and all will be celebrating the Mexican holiday this week.
Plus, most of us prepare at least a few Mexican-style or Tex-Mex dishes at home.
Keeping the spirit of Cinco de Mayo alive, we’ve lined up some maximum flavored Mexi-style recipes you may want to add to your South-of-the-Border recipe repertoire.

We start with a trio of beverage selections: two versions of the Classic Margarita cocktail, the traditional tart lime variety and a Golden Peach Margarita, plus a refreshing non-alcoholic drink, called Agua Fresca de Jamaica. It’s a Hibiscus Flower Iced Tea that’s wildly popular in Mexico.

For an appetizer, we have an incredible Chunky Guacamole. In fact, the guac is so good, we created another recipe: Guacamole Grilled Chicken Club. It’s a terrific sandwich.

We offer three maindish recipe ideas:
Entree Uno: Tacos de Carne with Cilantro Lime Crema. Lovely to look at, terrific to taste.
Entree Dos: Mexican Chicken Casserole. Rich and satisfying. This hearty hot dish will soothe the toughest hombre.
Entree Tres: Tequila Grilled Shrimp and Mango Skewers. A sizzling signature dish everyone will love.
For dessert, our Vanilla Bean Flan is a light delight.
