1 tablespoon olive oil

2 or 3 small garlic cloves, peeled

1 1/2 pounds tender green beans

Salt and pepper to taste

Melt butter and olive oil with the garlic

Cook green beans in a large pot of boiling water until just tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.

Drain and toss with garlic butter and seasonings.
