Classic New Orleans-style coffee and chicory. Serve during Mardi Gras season…or anytime.

Why try? The locals take their coffee very seriously in the Big Easy, and this is their morning beverage of choice.

Foodie Byte: Serve with hot Beignets (French doughnuts) for the total New Orleans breakfast experience.

 

Ingredients

  • Cafe du Monde Coffee and Chicory
  • Milk or cream

Preparation

    In a drip coffee pot or percolator use one heaping tablespoon of coffee and chicory for each cup of boiling water.
  • 2
    Mix freshly brewed coffee with equal amounts of hot steamed milk or cream to suit taste.
