Ingredients

1/3 cup margarine

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup milk

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

8 ounces cream cheese

2 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla

3/4 cup instant oatmeal

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons orange zest (grated orange rind)

Blend margarine, cream cheese and sugar.

Add eggs, milk and vanilla.

Combine dry ingredients and add to the cream cheese mixture.

Blend in orange zest.

Spoon batter into well-greased 8’ baking pan or 12 muffin pans.

Add crumb topping, using 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/3 cup flour and 2 tablespoons margarine.

Sprinkle crumb topping over batter then bake at 350 degrees.

Bake 35-40 minutes for coffeecake or 20 minutes for muffins.
