Soft Polenta

This Rustic Northern Italian polenta is similar to corn grits of the American south. It’s made with coarse ground cornmeal slow-cooked until soft and creamy. Shredded Italian fontina cheese adds flavor to this Italian comfort food classic. Serve with our Ratatouille for a hearty, satisfying winter meal.

Why Try?
You’ll love warming up with a bowl of comforting soft polenta topped with melting fontina cheese.

Foodie Byte:

  • Traditionally polenta was stirred with a long handled wooden spoon called a Tarello to avoid spatters during cooking.
  • For grilled polenta, pour soft polenta into an oiled baking sheet and chill until firm. Cut into squares, brush lightly with olive oil and grill on both sides until golden and serve warm garnished with grated cheese.
