Acai Berry Mango Sorbet
Ingredients
- 1 & 1/3 cups frozen, sweetened Acai
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 cups mango, frozen
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Here’s a refreshing summer recipe using the hot Superfood ingredient from Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest, the acai berry. This makes a wonderful light dessert that’s perfect for a hot and humid day.

Preparation
- Place the sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan and cook until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
- Place the mangoes and bananas in a food processor fitted with a steel blade and puree. Combine the sugar mixture, acai, lime juice, and salt with the mango banana puree.
- Refrigerate until cold. Freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions. Serve directly from the ice cream machine or freeze.
