Mexico celebrates Independence Day on September 16, and what better way to join in the festivities than with a refreshing Margarita. This Blood Orange variation will set you free. Did you know that the Margarita is now the most popular cocktail in the U.S.?

Why Try? The bright red/orange color of this cocktail sets a party mood instantly. It’s one gorgeous drink.

Foodie Byte: Instead of using a lime corkscrew twist for a garnish, you can use an orange slice. A blood orange slice would be extra nice.

Preparation

  1. In a cocktail shaker, build over ice, shake and strain.
  2. Best served over ice.
  3. Garnish with a lime twist.
