Brandied Cherry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sweet cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup brandy
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup sweet orange marmalade

This luscious Brandied Cherry Sauce is incredible over ice cream, served with brown sugar cookies on the side. Or try it drizzled over cheesecake. Wow.

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, combine first 4 ingredients. Over medium heat, cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and boils; remove from heat.
  2. Stir in almond extract and marmalade.
  3. Serve immediately with Brown Sugar Bark or cover and refrigerate.
