Brandied Peaches
Ingredients
- 12 peaches, dipped in hot water and peeled
- 1 cup brandy
- 6 cups sugar
- 6 cups water
- 10 whole cloves
- 10 whole allspice berries
- 6 4-inch cinnamon sticks
This is a wonderful, classic holiday treat. Looks beautiful on the table and has a distinct and delightful flavor.

Foodie Byte: Be sure to let it mature for a few days in the refrigerator before serving. But once you’re ready to serve it, put the container on display for a while. It will add to your holiday decor.
Preparation
- Put the sugar and water in a large kettle and bring to a boil. Add the cloves, allspice, and cinnamon. Simmer for 5 minutes. Carefully add the peaches. Simmer for 5 minutes, until tender.
- Remove the peaches to a large sterile jar with a snap lid. Pour in the cooking syrup and top with brandy.
- When cool, snap shut and store in the refrigerator.
- Let it mature for a few days before serving.
