  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

This rich and creamy-smooth chocolate sauce makes a perfect topping for ice cream.

Foodie Byte: Be sure to stir about every 30 seconds or so, so that the ganache will turn out velvety smooth.

Preparation

  1. Combine chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
  2. When completely melted and smooth, transfer mixture to a measuring cup or other "pourable" container for pouring over ice cream.
  3. Best served warm but can also be served at room temperature.
