- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup whipped cream garnish
- 1 tablespoon chopped pecan pieces for garnish
- 2 each maraschino cherries for garnish
An incredible ice cream sundae encased in a chocolate shell-coated glass. Impressive to behold, even better to devour.
Why Try? It’s got the Wow! Factor. Once someone sees it, they simply can’t resist digging into it.
Foodie Byte: When covering your glass with chocolate, save the drippings to pour over top the ice cream. This ultimate sundae can be a fun project for your kids or a great dessert for a summer gathering with family. Chef’s Tips: • It’s a good idea to wear plastic or latex gloves. Keeps your hands clean and prevents fingerprints on the hardened shell. • Place the coated goblet(s) on a plate or cookie sheet lined with waxed paper before putting into the freezer. • Remove from freezer and slide a thin spatula or knife under the base to release the goblet from the waxed paper.
Preparation
- Working over a bowl, drizzle 2 medium sized glasses with chocolate sauce until the outside is completely coated. Place on small plates and freeze until the chocolate hardens.
- Layer 3 scoops vanilla ice cream into each chocolate-coated glass.
- Drizzle chocolate sauce (we recommend Chocolate Magic Shell) over ice cream sundaes.
- Top each with whipped cream, pecans and a cherry. Serve immediately.
