Open-Faced Smoked Ham, Turkey and Swiss Melt

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces smoked ham, sliced
  • 2 ounces smoked turkey breast, sliced
  • 1 slice of Texas Toast
  • 2 tablespoons homemade Thousand Island dressing (see below)
  • 1/3 cup smoked Swiss cheese, shredded
  • For Thousand Island dressing:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 8 tablespoons bread and butter pickles, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sweet onion, chopped

Tender smoked ham and turkey breast, piled high on warm Texas toast and topped with melted smoked Swiss cheese and homemade Thousand Island dressing.

Preparation

  1. To prepare Thousand Island Dressing, stir together mayonnaise, ketchup, chopped pickles and sweet onion until well combined.
  2. To prepare each sandwich:

  4. Add smoked ham and turkey slices.
  5. Spread the Thousand Island dressing on the meat.
  6. Top with smoked Swiss cheese.
  7. Broil until bubbly on top.
