Orange Marmalade

Ingredients

  • 3 oranges, peeled
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar

Make candied orange peel and then use the oranges to make this easy gift.

Why Try? This refrigerator jam is like spreading fresh oranges on your morning toast!
Note: if you have more oranges, just increase by 1 tablespoon water per orange and 1/2 cup sugar per orange.

Foodie Byte: Because the marmalade does not go through a water bath, this needs to be stored in the refrigerator and used within about a month.

Preparation

  1. Cut oranges into pieces and put all ingredients in a blender or food processer. Mix briefly until slightly foamy and you have a puree.
  2. Pour into a saucepan and bring mixture to a boil. Let it boil for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Let cool and pour into clean glass jars and cover. Store in refrigerator.
