Peppermint Patties

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons mint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • CHOCOLATE FOR DIPPING:
  • 2 tablespoons solid shortening

Peppermint patties are a quick and tasty holiday treat.

Preparation

  1. Mix all together in a bowl and chill.
  2. Roll into balls, which may be flattened out into patties or rolled into sticks. Dip in melted chocolate and let harden.
  3. Chocolate for dipping: Melt chocolate chips and shortening together in microwave.
