Why Try? You’ve topped ice cream with hot fudge, nuts and strawberries…but if you haven’t tried it with this strawberry-rhubarb sauce, well, you’re in for a treat.

Foodie Byte: Some people find the tartness of rhubarb a tad overwhelming, but when combined with strawberries, the blended flavor is intoxicating.

Preparation

  1. In a small saucepan, combine rhubarb, 1 cup strawberries, sugar, and butter.
  2. Cover tightly and cook over the lowest heat for 8 minutes or until rhubarb is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Add remaining strawberries and heat through.
