Why Try? Not only is this a delicious dessert, it takes ‘playing with your food’ to a whole new level!
Foodie Byte: Experiment with different types of game boards such as brownies or blondies. Try making it with gelato instead of ice cream for a new flavor. Ice cream and other frozen desserts have been identified as the top dessert trend in 2009.
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Press cookie dough evenly into 8-inch x 8-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden. Cool.
- Trim outer edges of cookie forming one 7-inch x 7-inch cookie; using a spatula remove cookie from pan and arrange on large plate.
- Using the strawberry dessert sauce, draw two straight lines horizontally across the cookie. One line should be 2 1/4 inches from the bottom of the cookie; the other should be 2 1/4 inches from the top. Draw two straight vertical lines from the edge of the cookie closest to you to the edge farthest from you. One line should be 2 1/4 inches rom the left edge of the cookie and the other should be 2 1/4 inches from the right edge. Your cookie should now look like a grid with 9 equal squares.
- Place the vanilla ice cream scoops and chocolate ice cream scoops in separate bowls.
- Pour chocolate sauce into a 2 oz. to 3 oz. pitcher.
- Serve cookie game board with ice cream scoops and chocolate sauce. Using spoons, each guest takes turns placing an ice cream scoop on the cookie, alternating turns between chocolate and vanilla. The guest who gets ‘three in a row’ gets to draw a line through the winning row with chocolate sauce.
