A delicious savory butter adds flavor to fresh-from-the-garden radishes atop baguette slices.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, thinly sliced
  • 1 bunch radishes, very thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Plugra butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chives, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • 1
    Cream butter in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  • 2
    Add in the rest of ingredients and mix until incorporated.
  • 3
    Spread a thin layer of butter over each baguette slice.
  • 4
    Arrange radish slices over buttered bread and serve.

I served this appetizer when I hosted Bunco at my house and the ladies loved it. In addition to the tartines, I set out extra slices of the baguette for them to butter themselves.
