The wall calendar may say that summer begins on June 21, but for most Americans, the three glorious months of carefree summer days are officially underway, now that the Memorial Day weekend has come and gone.
School’s out in most parts of the country and that means more people will be out on our rivers and lakes, enjoying backyard cookouts, chasing pop flies and catching fireflies.
We suggest a little social networking—and we’re not talking about twittering or facebook pages. We’re talking real live human contact celebrated with everybody’s favorite summer dessert. That’s right, an old fashioned Ice Cream Social. That’s social networking that just about everybody has a taste for.
