New York City-based Tommy Moloney’s Inc. USA, which calls itself the largest provider of Irish food products in the United States, has launched a new line of imported premium Irish breakfast bacon.

The Mild Cured & Hickory Smoked line is sourced from Ireland’s southwest countryside, and features lower contents of fat and salt than traditional American bacon, the company says, claiming that it offers U.S. consumers a healthier option for breakfast.

“Great Irish food products demand outstanding recipes,” Brendan Keyes, vice president of Tommy Moloney’s, said in a news release. “Tommy Moloney’s is the only company in the United States that imports its bacon directly from Ireland.”

Tommy Moloney’s produces its foods at a USDA-approved plant in Maspeth, N.Y., and ships them to major American cities, including New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Orlando.
