Cosmetics Over Food

Would you choose your cosmetics over food? According to the latest survey, many women would. Turns out more of us are willing to sacrifice on the food budget before we think about doing away with our favorite foundation or giving up a facial or massage.

According to a report in Food Navigator women will choose beauty over food. In a survey conducted by www.feelingunique.com nearly one in three women said they would prefer to eat less rather than reduce their beauty-related spending – including make up and body treatments.

Similar surveys have shown that women will buy cheaper food before they give up their cosmetic brands. The report says that, “While 67 per cent would switch to less expensive brands for eggs and milk, only 30 per cent said they would be willing to turn to cheaper cosmetics.” Apparently the trend we call “Private Pampering” is alive and well, even in a poor economy.
